Posters by Andreas Gysin and Sidi Vanetti (this is the only website I can currently find for them). The artwork was created algorithmicly using processing, then outputted as raster graphics and screen printed onto coloured paper.
Now whilst I would like there to be empirical data behind the patterns generated, I don’t think it is the case. However, that doesn’t stop them communicating meaning, and they do suit the electronic music festival they promote. You get a sense of the rhythm of the music, and the ambiance of a club night in each poster.
